What if freedom wasn’t limited to talking about rights, but expanded to mean offering love? In “Dependence Upon God: Free to Speak, Free to Serve,” we explore the deeper kind of freedom Jesus modeled: a freedom not rooted in privilege or power, but in purpose. The Holy Spirit empowers us to be Pentecost People: those who speak boldly, serve generously, and live humbly. Just as the disciples were shaped by their journey with Jesus, we too are being formed to carry a message of grace across every boundary and into every heart.

July 17 – Ladies Coffee & Conversation invites all ladies in Penns Valley to get together for coffee, tea, wonderful treats and delightful conversation. Come, and let your heart be uplifted!
The Penns Valley Charge and Community Worship & Picnic is hosted by St. James this year and will be held July 20th starting at 10:30am at Coburn Park pavilion. Enjoy special music from the Penns Valley Men’s Chorus, a butterfly release, and potluck picnic following. The church facilities will be open for restroom use in addition to the porta-potty on site. Power is available at the pavilion for crockpots. Meet our new District Superintendent, Rev. Dr. Michelle Bodle (pronounced BOH-dull). Bring a lawn chair for worship. Picnic tables available. In the event of poor weather, we will move the event inside the church and dine in the fellowship hall. The picnic takes the place of all regularly scheduled services this day. Butterfly sponsorship forms and payment are due by July 6th. Checks should be payable to “The PV Charge UMC”.
July 21 – Trinity UMC in Woodward’s Administrative Board and Trustees Meeting at 7pm. All Trinity Church folks are invited to attend.
August 3 – Communion Sunday and we welcome Guest Speaker: Vince Smith from Keystone Family Alliance, an organization our churches support, will offer insights into the power of prayer and financial support is changing lives. [More: Keystone Family Alliance is comprised of representatives from different churches around the state of Pennsylvania. We aim to educate, motivate, and equip every Christian in the state of Pennsylvania on the needs of orphans and vulnerable children, both locally and globally.
