Our Discipleship Series continues. Where are you on your path?
You are invited and encouraged to consider where you are on your personal discipleship path using the attached resources from Pastor Theresa. They are from Ken Willard’s excellent book Stride and inspire us to think critically about how close we are to Jesus’ way in several areas of our discipleship life. As well as where you are in the areas of worship, sharing, scripture study, small group bible study, service, and tithing. Row 1 describes a spout, 2 a sapling, 3 a growing disciple and 4 a mature disciple. Knowing where we are helps us figure out where we want to go and ideas about how we might get there. If you have any questions, reach out to the pastor.

Ther 2024 Advent Devotionals are here! Please take one so you are ready for the 1st day of Advent Dec. 1st.
November 25 – The Advent Book study “On the Way to Bethlehem” by Rob Fuquay begins. It runs 4 Mondays 7-8pm via Zoom. Registration is required by Nov. 24th. Details are on our site and the flyer on the bulletin board. The pastor recommends the book whether you do the study or not.
December 1 – 1st Sunday of Advent
December 5 – Ladies Coffee & Conversation for all ladies 9:30am at St. James in Coburn
December 8 – Christmas Lunch at Sprucetown UMC following worship at 11am. All welcome!
December 15 – “A King for All Nations” choral concert at Faith UMC, Bellefonte 4pm.
December 19 – Ladies Coffee & Conversation for all ladies 9:30am at St. James in Coburn
December 22 – Christmas Concerts at Trinity UCC, Centre Hall. Penns Valley Men’s Chorus 2pm. Community Christmas Choir 3:15pm. (Choir volunteers are welcome. Rehearsals are Wednesday nights at 7pm at Trinity UCC in Centre Hall.)
Christmas Eve Services are Dec. 24 at 3pm at Sprucetown UMC and 6pm at St. James UMC. Invite your friends and neighbors to worship with us!
January 8 – St. James Trustees meet at 6:30pm, Administrative Board at 7pm (*Date change due to the New Year holiday)
