Mission InSite Training for Upcoming Charge Conference

Read the letter from the District Superintendent to all pastors in the State College District.

Our church will present a “Who Is My Neighbor?” 2022 Outreach Plan at our Penns Valley Charge Conference November 21, 2021 which takes place at St. James UMC, Coburn starting at 2:15pm. Full members of the church vote on the officers, reports and pastoral compensation for the coming year at the conference. All who are members of the church are encouraged to attend. All who are considering serving as an officer is encouraged to attend or watch the recorded video of this training. PLEASE NOTE, Pastor Theresa will provide you with a few reports for review in preparation for our upcoming board meeting. You do not need to watch how to generate the report, rather what we can do with the data.

A recording of the MissionInsite training presented by Chuck Salter last week is now available to view, review and/or pass along to your church leadership (the first few seconds show some technical difficulty, but the rest of the video is fine). WHO IS MY NEIGHBOR?:
IMPORTANT MissionInsite TRAINING FOR 2021 CHARGE CONFERENCES
One of our lost skills as Christ followers is the ability to connect with our neighbors in ways that connect others to Christ. The Who Is My Neighbor conversation is designed to help all of us in the local church faithfully live into Jesus’ call to love our neighbor as ourselves.

Chuck Salter of MissionInsite offered an online (zoom) training for all pastors and lay leaders (all laity leaders). All who serve on church committees are encouraged to become familiar with the program in order to have a very important conversation at our September meeting. We will prepare to answer the question: Who is my neighbor?

If you have any technical difficulty, please contact Pastor Theresa.
